Spin Along B2B UX / UI

Mutuel Play Spin Along

Overview

As Bingo Millions continued to gain market maturity, we began developing a new and innovative product—Spin Along. This multiplayer experience allows users to bet on the outcomes of other players' gameplay, such as predicting the results of a slot spin or a roulette wheel. With multiple users wagering simultaneously on a single streamer's outcome, Spin Along creates a dynamic and engaging social betting experience.

My Role

  1. Continuously collaboration with CEO sharing research findings, comparing results and organising archiving our research
  2. Researching with the Front End Developer the API of streaming services in which casino streamers are present (twitch, youtube, Facebook and potentially amazon)
  3. Defining business requirements and how we can integrate our products into the Spin Along with UI to speed up and maximise the ROI
  4. Building and categorising streamer and user personas based on patterns found in the research results
  5. Branding of the B2B product and follow up products
  6. Creating user stories and how users would evolve to be returning users
  7. Creating wireframes, high fidelity UI designs, user flow, interactive prototyping for shareholders and developers
  8. Heuristic usability evaluation sessions on the MVP prototype with participants from the shareholder company and Buzz Bingo's presenter Roger Knowles

UX Approach for Spin Along

As with most UX projects, the process begins with understanding business requirements, conducting market research, and identifying potential users. However, what sets Spin Along apart is its foundation on a service-driven experience, where individuals or teams engage an audience. To design an effective and intuitive UI, it was crucial to analyze and empathize with the unique connection between casino game streamers and their viewers or chat participants, ensuring a seamless and engaging interaction.

Mobile Prototype on XD

During the prototyping phase, while deeply focused on designing Spin Along's core functionalities, we identified an opportunity to enhance the UI by incorporating a separate games section. This strategic decision not only added value for players but also expanded engagement, allowing users to play their own game while simultaneously betting on the streamer's gameplay.

Note: you would need to be logged into a Adobe Account to play the prototype

Usability Testing Process

We conduct weekly usability tests on the product, either internally or with stakeholders, to ensure continuous improvements. Roger, Buzz Bingo's game streamer, actively participates in these sessions, playing a series of instructed games. Meanwhile, test participants are asked to complete various tasks while thinking aloud, providing real-time insights into their experience. After completing the tasks, they answer a set of evaluative multiple-choice questions, helping us assess usability and refine the product accordingly.
